What to look for in a yoga retreat venue in Bali
Start with the practice space. You need a flat, open area big enough for your whole group, with shade options and enough quiet that students can hear your cues without raising your voice. Then check the sleeping layout, because the way beds are split decides how many places you can sell and at which level.
Kitchen and transport come next. A proper kitchen lets you control the food, which matters for most yoga programmes, and a villa within easy reach of the airport and the beach keeps travel days and free afternoons simple.

Practising on the lawn, in the quiet of Pererenan
Kamayana's garden has a lawn where a group can roll out mats for a sunrise flow or a slow evening yin session. Because the villa is in a rice-field area away from the main roads, the soundtrack is mostly birds and wind rather than scooters. When it rains, the open lounge and the large bale give you covered areas for pranayama, meditation or theory.
The 15-metre pool, the thatched bales and the hammock bale give students places to rest between sessions, which helps a programme feel spacious rather than packed.
Feeding a yoga group from an open kitchen
The open kitchen is fully equipped, with long dining tables nearby for shared meals. You can bring your own cook, or ask for a private chef through our local partners, who can prepare group meals to suit a plant-based, Ayurvedic-inspired or simply fresh menu that you define.
Eating together at the villa also reduces logistics. Nobody needs to organise rides to cafés three times a day, and your timetable stays under your control.

Splitting rooms for a yoga group
With 6 bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and air conditioning, you have room to offer several kinds of places. Rooms 3 and 4 can be arranged as twin rooms with two 1.5-metre beds, ideal for friends sharing, or as an extra-large king for couples. Rooms 1 and 2 have a queen and a single, the master has a king and a bunk bed, and Room 5 is a dorm with 4 bunk beds for budget places.
Many teachers keep one room for themselves and an assistant, then fill the rest according to their group. The total capacity is up to 23 guests.
A month in Canggu: one long immersion or several retreats
Because the minimum lease is one month, you can shape the calendar around your teaching. Some teachers run a single long immersion or training, others schedule two or three week-long retreats with change-over days between them. Either way, you settle into the house once rather than moving venues.
Outside the programme, Canggu and Pererenan have beaches, yoga studios and cafés close by. Drivers or scooters cover short trips, and a driver with a minivan can be arranged for the group.
