Why Canggu is the default choice for remote workers
Canggu grew around surfers and creators, and today it is where many remote workers, founders and freelancers base themselves in Bali. Everything a long stay needs is within a short ride: coworking spaces, laptop-friendly cafés, gyms, yoga studios and a long run of beaches.
That density is also why choosing the right street matters. Some parts of Canggu are lively and noisy, others are calm. A coliving gives you a base that fits how you actually work. If you are comparing places, walk or ride the streets at different times of day before you commit, because the mood of a lane at noon can differ a lot from the same lane at night.

Canggu or Pererenan: where to stay
Pererenan is the neighbouring area, just up the coast. It shares the same beaches, cafés and surf culture, but feels more relaxed and has more rice fields. Many people who try central Canggu first move a few minutes north when they want better sleep and less traffic.
Because Kamayana is on the Pererenan side, you can still reach Canggu spots by scooter, which is the usual way of getting around, and come home to a quiet garden.
What a room in a Canggu coliving looks like
At Kamayana, each of the 6 bedrooms has its own private bathroom and air conditioning. Rooms 1 to 4 and room 6 are private rooms for one person or a couple. Room 5 is a shared room with four bunk beds, where beds are rented individually, which can work for a solo traveller who prefers company.
Beyond the room you have a 15-metre pool, a 1,000 m² tropical garden, a fully equipped open kitchen and long dining tables for sharing meals. Evenings can be spent at the long dining tables or on the large bale with its sofa, which makes it easy to share a meal without planning anything.

Working and training from the villa
The house has high-speed fibre Wi-Fi and a dedicated workspace. A screen and projector in the open lounge turns the space into a meeting room or a film corner in the evening.
For breaks, there is a small gym, a private infrared sauna and an ice bath reserved for residents. If you also want to train outside, gyms and surf spots in the Pererenan and Canggu area are a short ride away.
Practical tips for a month in Canggu
Plan around the seasons. The dry season runs roughly from April to October and the wet season roughly from November to March, so rain and surf conditions change through the year. Nyepi, the Balinese day of silence, closes the island for 24 hours once a year, so stock up the day before.
Rent a scooter or ask for a driver, check your visa options with official Indonesian immigration sources, and share your needs with the house early so the offer is accurate. Bring a light jacket for air-conditioned cafés and a rain layer for the wet months.
